Adult Day Programming
DAY PROGRAM
LGA offers an Adult Day Care program through our qualified day center. At our day center we supply attendees with behavioral, provocation, motor skill simulation and sensory classes as well as RN services. Other aspects of the day program include but are not limited to:
Nurse Attention, Arts and crafts, Musical entertainment, Mental Stimulation games such as BINGO, Discussion groups (books, films, current events), Stretching or other gentle exercises, Holiday and birthday celebrations, Community Integration outings, Grooming services, Massage therapy, Sensory Room & Activities, Daily Nutritious Hot Lunch (based on participant’s specific diet), Transportation to and from the center, Social service, Companion Care.
COMMUNITY INTEGRATION OUTINGS
Community involvement is an excellent way to work on social skills, encouraging empathy, job related skills and many more. As a result, participants in the LGA Day Program are given the opportunity to take part in Community Outings.
Potential Community Outings can include a trip to the zoo or the circus or an event at a park or entertainment center. These introductions to the community provide exemplary opportunities for growth in social skills as well motor skills and overall benefit the metal health and happiness of our residents.
SOCIAL CLUB
One Friday evening a month, LGA’s Social Club provides a social outlet for adults with intellectual disabilities. Example Social Club activities are dance party, movie night, game night, arts & crafts, and more!
We welcome all! Social Club participants are not required to reside in LGA Homes or attend the LGA Day Program. We invite new guests to meet, greet, and have some fun with our LGA Individuals and Caregivers.
